DAJTROC combines various disciplines such as landscape architecture, drawing, sculpture and urban planning. This ambitious design – an enlarged mosaic which at the same time refers to computer pixels - spans a whole courtyard. It is clear that in this public commission the tension between the physical and the virtual is pushed to its limits and therefore is almost neutralised. At the basis of this pattern is a digital drawing, converted into a 3D print and after that into a sculpture. These complex shapes come into being in a virtual setting, but at the same time look spontaneously grown and natural. The dynamic drawing is contrasted with the rigid raster of the tiled floor.  DAJTROC is completed with the integration of 23 LED-lights, installed between the tiles in the inner court. These lights alternately light up, and suggest a wave motion. DAJTROC combines various disciplines such as landscape architecture, drawing, sculpture and urban planning.
